If you are staying at the Baranof, this wonderful restaurant basically beckons you in, it’s right across the street. Relaxed atmosphere and excellent food. Good service. Have eaten here many times and enjoyed it each time.

Good authentic Indian food in a small beautiful ambience. Nimmy, the owner who started the business was gracious to wish and talk to us. Awesome experience.
Phenomenal food and atmosphere. From lightening time local art, the space is thoughtfully crafted. The live music was the perfect volume—we didn’t need to shout. Support this local-based entrepreneur who spent time making personal recommendations sourced from her grandmothers recipes. Will be back.
All the entrees, chutneys, chai, bread…it’s all great!! Thank god Juneau has this restaurant! How boring would we be without some Spice in our life (and No, I don’t know anyone that works there or owns it, I love it independently)
Dinner tonight was an outstanding experience fantastic atmosphere great service from Terra and some of the BEST food! I absolutely loved the dinner I had spicy lamb curry, homemade nan bread and three different chutneys to dip my bread in. The flavors were spot on I can’t say enough about it!!! Spice is a MUST when you visit Juneau ❤️❤️ my new favorite. I hope to return soon just to eat at your establishment.

Delicious food with an inviting ambiance! We ordered a few appetizers, including a shrimp one and the Masala Papad. It was melt in your mouth with the perfect amount of cilantro and tomato topping. Our waiter suggested a wine only served at Spice that paired well with our meal. We ordered four curries: a lamb, a chicken, a shrimp, and a lentil one with a side of rice and garlic naan. The curries all had a perfect balance of spice and flavor. I was expecting the chicken to be my least favorite but it was just as tender and flavorful as the other three. To top off the excellent meal and experience there was several live musicians, strings and vocals played throughout the evening. I will gladly return and bring more friends as this was one of the most pleasant dining experiences I have ever had.
Who knew you could find excellent Indian food in Juneau?
I stopped by one night to pick up a to-go order, but despite it being busy, the owner invited me to sit at the bar and eat my meal there. The owner (I forget her name…) was incredibly friendly and gracious and was very proud of the restaurant. (I think she had recently taken it over from someone else.) The food was delicious too – I had the palak paneer and some other snacks and some warm chai to finish the night. I’d love to go back if I find myself in Juneau again.
The food is incredible! The waitstaff were super nice. We had a bit of a wait for the food because it was really busy. Wasn’t an issue, though – we had drinks, and it was a good time! The food was well worth the wait! My mouth waters just thinking about it, lol!
I look forward to going back often! This is definitely a restaurant on my “must recommend” list.
Had too many nights of fish and chips, wanna switch up with some Indian cuisine.
Their curries were good, not as heavy spiced and mild for children to enjoy.
The most perfect dining experience I’ve ever had here in Juneau. 10/10 strongly recommend. The owner and the server, Chris, are super friendly, courteous, and make you feel right at home. The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing. The food is the very best and super delicious. You will not be disappointed with this dining experience.
Hands down best portions and best food when looking for Indian food.
Vegetarian options: I am vegetarian and this was one of the only restaurants in town that has several options for vegetarian food rather than just a few.
Kid-friendliness: When I was there there was a lot of kids inside the restaurant and all of them were behaving and doing well and it was a very nice atmosphere.
Wow, this is the best Indian food I’ve had in a while and I’ve been looking in the Seattle area. So happy to have had this meal before heading home. The spice level was also perfect!
This is my favorite restaurant in Juneau! The food is always fantastic each time we’ve visited and the service has been great. Highly recommend.
Incredible meal! We were the first customers of today’s soft opening and were very satisfied with everything we had. The new owner Nimmy has done an amazing job with the decor and is very passionate about home style cooking. Would paddle our kayaks 300 miles again to Juneau to eat here!
